My Painty Self

A self portrait that plays on the "cat and mouse" theme. (Do you like my whiskers? Heehee. ) That's all I was really going for, as well as using a variety of brushstrokes.

But to go deeper, I feel the digital art revolution is a pest to me as a traditional painter. I am efficient and proud of my techniques, and I love the quality of a finished tangible painting on board or canvas. I also don't need a computer to encourage strong colors. Don't get me wrong; I've done things digitally and all... I just like paint. Again, this painting really isn't for or against... I think it's an open illustration that can be easily read from multiple viewpoints.
